Artro & Talsarnau Angling Association Description:
Artro & Talsarnau Angling Association has game fishing on the rivers Artro and Glyn, also on Llyn Cwm Nantcol, Llyn Tecwyn Uchaf, Llyn Eiddew Mawr, Llyn Eiddew Bach and Llyn y Fedw. Coarse fishing is available on Llyn Tecwyn Isaf.
River Artro – runs through the small, picturesque village of Llanbedr. Fishing for brown trout, sewin (sea trout) and salmon is on about 4 miles of river.
River Glyn – May be fished from Glan y Wern, all the way up to its source at Llyn Tecwyn Isaf. The river holds brown trout, sewin (sea trout) and salmon and is known for its late season runs.
Llyn Cwm Nantcol is a small, peaceful lake stocked 2-3 times annually with either rainbow or brown trout.
Llyn Tecwyn Uchaf is the largest lake and is stocked annually with brown trout. Brown trout have been caught up to 5lb in weight.
Llyn Eiddew Mawr & Bach (‘mawr’ is large, ‘bach’ is small) – these lakes are only a few hundred yards away from each other, the largest about 100ft lower. The track up to them is a 30-45 minute walk but the views are spectacular and the returns can be very rewarding. Both have natural wild brown trout.
Llyn y Fedw also entails a good walk, situated about 1000ft above Harlech. The wild brown trout are renowned for their cleanliness & fine markings and grow to quite respectable sizes.
Llyn Tecwyn Isaf is a coarse fishing lake and is stocked with carp, perch & rudd and holds wild brown trout.
