Glamorgan Anglers Club Description:

Glamorgan Anglers Club has fishing on the rivers Ely, Taff, Trothy, Usk and Wye. Other waters are Bishops Pond, Treoes Lake, Pisgodlyn Mawr, Llantrithyd Lake, Gribbles Covert, St-Y-Nyll Top Pond, Sue’s Pond, Carol’s Pond and Cardiff Bay.

River Ely fishing is for chub, roach, eels, grayling and brown trout.

River Taff species include chub, dace, eels, roach, barbel, perch, grayling, salmon, sewin (sea trout) and brown trout.

River Trothy has chub, roach, eels, grayling and brown trout.

River Usk includes chub, dace, roach, gudgeon and eels.

River Wye fishes for chub, dace, perch, pike, roach, bleak, gudgeon, eels and barbel.

Bishops Pond, Mwydy is a 2.5 acre water with carp, pike, perch, roach, rudd, tench and eels.

Treoes Lake has carp, bream, roach, rudd, tench and eels.

Pisgodlyn Mawr – fish include carp, grass carp, crucian carp, perch, tench, rudd, roach, tench, bream and eels.

Llantrithyd Lake – fishing for carp, bream, roach, rudd, dace, perch, tench and eels.

Gribbles Covert is a 0.5 acre pond with roach, rudd, tench, crucian carp, bream, perch, eels and carp.

St-Y-Nyll Top Pond has pike, rudd, perch, tench, crucian carp, chub and eels.

Cadoxton Ponds – Sue’s Pond contains carp, bream, tench, roach, rudd, pike and eels.

Cadoxton Ponds – Carol’s Pond has bream, tench, crucian carp, roach, rudd, small common and mirror carp.

Cardiff Bay – species includes carp, bream, roach, rudd, chub, perch, mullet, pike and eels
