Newport Angling Association Description:
Newport Angling Association has fishing on the River Wye, and on Woodstock Pool, Morgans Pool, School Pool, Spytty Pond and Liswerry Pond.
The River Wye has many coarse fish besides its famous salmon. Barbel, pike, chub, roach and dace can all be caught
Woodstock Pool has skimmers, bream, carp, tench and a few pike.
Morgans Pool is a 5 acre man-made lake situated in the same complex as Woodstock Pool and fishes for bream, tench, roach, carp and pike.
School Pool is the result of splitting Morgans at its narrowest point. It stocked with several thousand commons, mirrors and F1s.
Spytty Pond has carp, roach and perch.
Liswerry Pond has a good head of carp, roach, skimmers, tench and pike.
